  2. 2. THE QUEEN OF CRIME <ul>Agatha Christie was born in Torquey, England, in 1890 and died in 1976. She was a British crime writer of novels, short stories and plays. She is the best-selling writer of books of all type. Her books have been translated into at least 103 languages </ul>
  3. 3. HER BOOKS Christie published more than eighty novels and plays.In most of them Hercules Poirot and Miss Marple appear. Most of her production has been made into a movie or a made-for-television film, like Murder on the Orient Express . In 1974, it was made into a movie and it is considered one of the most successful cinematic adaptations of Christie's work ever. Among her most important novels are: The ABC Murders, Death on the Nile,Ten little niggers, N or M?, Sleeping murderor Evil under the Sun
  4. 4. HERCULES POIROT AND MISS MARPLE <ul>Hercules Poirot is a French speaking Belgian detective. Along with Miss Marple, Poirot is one of Christie`s most famous and long-lives charcaters, appearing in thirty-three novels and fifty-one short stories. Miss Marple is an elderly spinster who lives in St. Mary Mead and act as an amateur detective. She appears for the first time in a full-length novel in “The murder at the Vicarage”. </ul>
