  2. 2. • Christmas - in the tradition of the Christian feast commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ. It is a liturgical celebration was attributable to 25 December. Christmas is preceded by a three- week waiting period (exactly four Sundays), called Advent.
  3. 3. • Christmas Eve - the day before the Christian tradition, the feast of Christmas, ending a period of Advent. • The roots of this festival dates back to the celebration of Saturnalia probably in ancient Rome, where Christianity is developed
  4. 4. • Midnight Mass, Mass pastoral - a solemn mass celebrated at night (usually at midnight) from 24 to 25 December, the first Christmas. Midnight marks the expectation and prayer aimed shepherds to Bethlehem. In Poland, is one of the most important Christmas tradition.
