Webinar: Material Security and Health Security and Social Determinants of Health
March 22, 2018
This meeting is aimed at understanding how material security and low health literacy can contribute to poor health outcomes. Participants identify strategies to best serve patients with social and community concerns that negatively impact their health. Program faculty provide resources and strategies to working with patients that have social and community concerns. Three peer learning organizations discuss real-life challenges they have experienced related to serving patients with material security concerns or low health literacy and receive corrective feedback on ways to best serve the patients they describe from both expert faculty and peers.
