  4. 4. Types of Classes<br />Online – OL<br />Whatcom Community College private course that use our own start and stop dates<br />Instructor and students will all be from WCC<br />
  5. 5. Types of Classes<br />Hybrid – HY<br />WCC private course that use our own start and stop dates<br />Instructors and students will be from WCC<br />A percentage of your in-class time (F2F) will be replaced by working online through the Angel system<br />
  6. 6. Type of Classes<br />Web Enhanced – WE<br />WCC traditional ‘face-to-face’ courses that use our own start and stop dates and use Angel as a course management system.<br />Instructor and fellow students will be from WCC<br />Seat-time in class is NOT replaced. You will be required to have computer access to get assignments.<br />
  7. 7. Online classes are not easier, just taught using different tools.<br />
  8. 8. Classes start the first day of the quarter.<br />Be prepared!<br />
  9. 9. <ul><li>You are responsible for checking into your online classroom often to keep up with work and other assignments.</li></li></ul><li>The instructor KNOWS how often you log on and what you do in the online classroom.<br />

  11. 11. <ul><li>Yes, you do have to interact with other people in online classes.</li></li></ul><li><ul><li>Online classes are varied and different just like classes in the real world.
