Col. William "Tim" Cahoon, 434th Air Refueling Wing commander, began the event with special remarks highlighting the history of Arbor Day.  Grissom's honorary commanders, including Dr. Robert Beckett, honorary Army reserve commander; Jessica Green, honorary operations group commander;  Dr. Michael Harris, honorary wing commander; Leilan McNally, honorary maintenance group commander; Chris Theisen, honorary command chief; and Andrea Zwiebel, honorary mission support group commander, each planted a tree in a specially designated area adjacent to the wing headquarters building. The honorary commander program is a special community outreach activity designed to provide selected civic leaders with a behind the scenes look at Grissom and its many diverse missions. Grissom ARB, which has more than 3,700 trees, has been named as a "tree city" by the National Arbor Day Foundation for 12 straight years.  GRISSOM AIR RESERVE BASE, Ind., -- Col.
