Located on the Llobregat plain, on the left of the lower part of the river, Sant Joan Despí (population 29,000) offers a tourist trail born of a desire to show the significant heritage that is the legacy of the man who was municipal architect in the town for twenty years, Josep Maria Jujol.
Designed by Josep Maria Jujol i Gibert and built between 1913 and 1916, Torre de la Creu is located in a small town near Barcelona (Sant Joan Despí).
Because the domes resemble a cluster of eggs, the house received also from locals the name of "Casa del ous" (ous is the Catalan word for eggs).
