5. 5. 2(n+3) would mean<br />Two groups of n + 3<br /> Which simplifies to<br />2n + 6<br />
6. 6. With your partner try these with the algebra tiles:<br />3(n + 2)<br />and <br />2(-4n + 3)<br />
7. 7. 3(n + 2)<br /> 3 groups of n + 2<br />3n + 6<br />

9. 9. What about if there is a negative?<br /> Example: <br />-2(5x + 1)<br />
