  2. 2. E-Mail • electronic mail: (computer science) a system of world-wide electronic communication in which a computer user can compose a message at one terminal that can be regenerated at the recipient's terminal when the recipient logs in; quot;you cannot send packages by electronic mailquot;
  3. 3. Podcasting • Like a radio program except people can download a podcast to a portable media player (such as an iPod or other mp3 player) and listen to it at their convenience - To memorize information - To listen to music, etc.
  4. 4. Chatting/IM • Online chat can refer to any kind of communication over the Internet, but is primarily meant to refer to direct one-on-one chat or text-based - Talk with friends/co-workers - Send pictures
  5. 5. Discussion Board • A message board, is an online discussion site. It is the modern equivalent of a traditional bulletin board, and a technological evolution of the dialup bulletin board system. - Download information - Pictures, documents, etc.
  6. 6. Texting/SMS • Text messaging, or texting is the common term for the sending of quot;shortquot; (originally 160 characters or fewer, including spaces) text messages from mobile phones using the short message service(SMS).
