  1. 1. Power That Made & Keeps Us • The Lord, God created and sustains us… Acts 17:25, 28 • We’re made in His image… Gen. 1:26-27 • When we sin, we need to be transformed so we can please our creator and spend eternity with Him. Rom. 6:23; Heb. 5:9
  2. 2. Transformation Required! • Transformed from worldliness to godliness. Titus 2:12; Col. 1:13 – From kingdom of darkness to Christ’s thus we need to think and act like it… Eph. 5:8-11 • We need to be transformed because of our love for God! Jn. 14:15; Mk. 12:30-31
  3. 3. Transformed To Be Living Sacrifices To God! • Not a dead or halfhearted sacrifice… “but a constant living one” Rom. 6:4-13 • God wants our ALL, He Gave His all for us, we need to do likewise. 2 Cor. 5:15 – Lives holy and acceptable to Him… 1 Pet. 1:15; 2:5, 9
  4. 4. Transformation: Flesh To Spirit! • One cannot say they are in a Mark 12:30-31 relationship with God and also be engaged in the works of the flesh. Gal. 5:19-21 • Those who abide in the sincere love of • the Lord will develop the fruit of the Spirit. Gal. 5:22-23
  5. 5. Transformation Over Apathy & Unfaithfulness! • Those keeping the two greatest commands will not have these problems. Heb. 10:22-26 – Christians who have become apathetic to the cause of Christ and service toward one another do not fully love the Lord. – The Lord wants individuals to serve Him that are: steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord. 1 Cor. 15:58
  6. 6. Transformation Over Apathy & Unfaithfulness! • When others or anything takes precedence in our service to God then we simply are not worthy! Matthew 10:32-39 • Those that abide in the sincere love of God will add characteristics to their life that ensure that they will not fall. 2 Peter 1:5-10
  7. 7. Transforming Means Bearing Fruit Worthy of Repentance! • We cannot read anywhere in the Bible where God is going to accept a half- committed disciple. 1 Tim. 4:12-16 • We can know if one is committed to Christ or not… Acts 26:20; Matt. 7:20 • Be ye transformed… by renewing your mind! 2 Cor. 4:16; Eph. 4:23; Col. 3:10
  8. 8. Let the Word of Christ Transform Your Life! • We need to hear and obey the Truth so we can be Totally Transformed. Acts 26:16-18 • Be Transformed Right Now! 1 Cor. 15:1-4 – Hear and believe the Truth Rom. 10:17 – Repent from the sinful life Acts 3:19 – Confess Christ Acts 8:37 – Be Baptized Gal. 3:27; 2 Cor. 5:17
