(Work, school, public) </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>The multitude of those who use curse words, use them as their regular vocabulary </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Most of these people are ignorant of or are blatantly disregarding God’s words about our speech. </li></ul></ul>
    2. 3. <ul><li> Does It Really Matter What I Say? </li></ul><ul><li>Your speech determines whether you are evil or good. Matthew 12:34-35 </li></ul><ul><li>We will give account of every word that we speak. Matthew 12:36-37 </li></ul>
    3. 4. <ul><li> Does It Really Matter What I Say? </li></ul><ul><li>Christians are to put away profane language. Ephesians 4:29; 1 Peter 2:1 </li></ul><ul><li>It is the ungodly that use such inappropriate talk. Psalm 10:4, 7 </li></ul>
    4. 5. <ul><li> Does It Really Matter What I Say? </li></ul><ul><li>The same mouth should not speak blessing and cursing. </li></ul><ul><li>James 3:8-12; Colossians 4:6 </li></ul><ul><li>Jokes or foolish talking that is filthy must be avoided by saints. Ephesians 5:3-4 </li></ul>
    5. 6. <ul><li>How Can I Solve This Issue? </li></ul><ul><li>We need to know when to close our mouth in avoiding sins of the tongue. Psalm 39:1 </li></ul><ul><li>Remember that you are seeking things above. Colossians 3:1-11 </li></ul>
    6. 7. <ul><li> How Can I Solve This Issue? </li></ul><ul><li>We need to purify our hearts and be willing to put away the perverse lips. Proverbs 4:23-24 </li></ul><ul><li>We can control the heart by meditating on pure things. Philippians 4:8-9 </li></ul>
    7. 8. <ul><li> How Can I Solve This Issue? </li></ul><ul><li>Our goals and personal decisions must place spiritual endeavors first. </li></ul><ul><li>Acts 24:16; 1 Cor. 10:32 </li></ul><ul><li>May we pray and work that our lives be free of all offenses. </li></ul><ul><li>Philippians 1:9-11 </li></ul>

Application: <ul><li>While our mouths can be used to glorify God and edify others, it is obvious that by our words we can be condemned. </li></ul><ul><li>Let us determine to bless others and give thanks and praise to God all the days of our lives. </li></ul><ul><li>You can call on the Lord today. </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Are you sure that you have washed away your sins? Acts 22:16 </li></ul></ul>
    9. 10. Confess The Name of Jesus! <ul><li>Call on the name of Jesus obeying the gospel of salvation. Rom. 1:16-17 </li></ul><ul><li>Hear Him – Mt. 17:5; Heb. 5:9 </li></ul><ul><li>Believe – John 8:24 </li></ul><ul><li>Repent – Luke 13:3 </li></ul><ul><li>Confess – Mt. 10:32-33 </li></ul><ul><li>Baptized – Mark 16:16 </li></ul><ul><li>Then, Be Faithful – Matthew 24:13 </li></ul>
