Enterprise Information Management: Integrating MDS and DQS with SSIS (2 of 3)

This is the second of 3 videos that demonstrate Microsoft technologies working with Melissa Data to address what a recent survey calls the “greatest barrier to adopting analytics or BI products enterprise-wide” - data quality. They all follow the same customer data set, showing how to build a process to correct and standardizes it, integrate it with data from ERPs and MDM systems, and augment it with master data. Together, they show how to create a business process to enable data governance.

This video builds on the first EIM video, showing how DQS cleansing and matching can be performed using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS). The same DQS knowledge base that leverages Melissa Data is used, but this time in a use case involving too much data for data steward intervention; a situation such as database marketing. It shows how SSIS can "glue" together DQS, Melissa Data and Master Data Services (MDS) within a workflow handling high volumes of customer data.
