  2. 2. PLEGIA• paralysis or a strokeExamples:• Cardioplegia (paralysis of the heart)• Hemiplegia (paralysis of one side of the body)• Paraplegia (paralysis of the legs)• Quadriplegia (paralysis of all four extremities).

  4. 4. ESTHESIA• Sensation Example:• Parasthesia - abnormal sensation, such a tingling• Anesthesia- total or partial loss of sensation• Hyperaesthesia-abnormal increase in sensitivity to sensory stimuli

  6. 6. PHAGIA• The eating of a specified substance or eating in a specified mannerExamples• Aphagia- Not able to eat• Chthonophagia- the impulsive consumption of dirt• Dysphagia- swallowing is painful or difficult

  8. 8. TAXIA• Order or arrangementExamples• Ataxia- the loss of full control of bodily movements.• Dystaxia- partial ataxia, a mild form of ataxia, or the loss of full control of bodily movements
