What is digital health?  Digital health refers to the application of information and communications technologies to improve health.  Categories:  Mobile health and Telemedicine  Patient engagement using mobile alerts on medication and communication with physician  EMR and mobile apps to support post-discharge services such as medication adherence, education, patient follow-up  New business models (HIE, ACO, Care Transitions, Homes)  Comparative Effectiveness/Appropriateness research  Genomics, metabolomics, proteomics (function, structure and interaction of genes, proteins, etc.)  Social media in medicine and the Quality/privacy issues  Business intelligence in healthcare and big data analytics 2 Business School .
