Location-Based Features in Google, Foursquare, and Facebook. CityVoyager (Microsoft Research) and GeoLife (Takeuchi & Sugimoto) – Collaborative Filtering based on user travel history, as tracked by GPS Difference between “Location” and “Place”: They both tell you where you are, but one is spatially precise, the other is contextually precise.
