Commitment <ul><li>The Chamber LEADS group exists to help Reading area entrepreneurs, small business owners, and professionals grow their businesses through strong referrals. </li></ul><ul><li>Each group meets weekly to exchange qualified referrals, build solid business relationships, present their products and services, and learn collaborative networking skills. </li></ul>

Why Referrals? <ul><li>Referral-generated clients are generally the most cost-efficient, profitable, and the most loyal source of new business. </li></ul><ul><li>Referral-generated clients are pre-sold so they commit quicker </li></ul><ul><li>Referred clients are more likely to stay clients longer and make referrals </li></ul><ul><li>Referrals are generally better clients. </li></ul><ul><li>People typically surround themselves with similar people – so if you have great clients referring to you, you’ll typically end up with more great clients. </li></ul><ul><li>They save you time. If your “sales force” is feeding you a steady diet of new prospects, you can spend less time on lead generation. </li></ul><ul><li>Having a referral system gives you a fool-proof strategy for increasing your client base and your income. </li></ul>

To Secure Your Membership <ul><li>Fill out an application </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Indicate your category </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Determine payment interval </li></ul></ul><ul><li>Write a brief bio for the website </li></ul><ul><li>Begin attending LEADS meetings </li></ul><ul><li>LEADSership Committee will review for approval </li></ul><ul><li>Be or become a GRCCI member </li></ul>

To Maintain Your Membership <ul><li>Get to know your fellow members </li></ul><ul><ul><li>So you know if someone might need them </li></ul></ul><ul><li>Adhere to the by laws </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Give at least 4 referrals to fellow members per quarter </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Attend at least 75% of meetings (you may send an alternate ) </li></ul></ul><ul><li>Provide quality goods and services </li></ul><ul><ul><li>So members can be proud to refer you </li></ul></ul>

Meeting Format <ul><li>Networking & coffee first 15 minutes – 7:45 AM </li></ul><ul><li>Meeting convenes promptly at 8:00 AM </li></ul><ul><li>Each person gives 30-second infomercial </li></ul><ul><li>Each person states a referral, a testimonial or positive feedback for another member </li></ul><ul><li>One member will give a 15-20 minute presentation </li></ul><ul><li>Referral education </li></ul>

Why weekly? <ul><li>It takes weeks to really get to know, like, and trust someone new </li></ul><ul><li>Others become familiar with what you do and what you are really good at </li></ul><ul><li>Seeing someone weekly sets a level of trust and dependability </li></ul><ul><li>Weekly interactions build deeper relationships </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Who else do they know </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Is there some specialty they provide that I didn’t know </li></ul></ul>
