2. We all know the legend of the microwaved pet… An old lady has a pet poodle Poodle gets wet The lady places her dog on the open oven door Turns on the oven The wet dog eventually dries. Old lady gets a microwave for Christmas The dog gets wet Lady places the dog in the microwave INSTEAD of the oven Turns microwave on… …..
5. 1. She’s nuts. Period. 2. She was in a rush to get to her water aerobics class. A microwave is quick and convenient way to heat up foods or liquids. So OBVIOUSLY, it’s going to dry her poodle off faster than the oven. 3. She got annoyed with the dog’s barking, decided to teach it a lesson. 4. CURIOSITY. She probably just wanted to test it out. The legend never says how long the dog was heating up in the microwave. It could have only been in there for a few seconds before the disaster happened. She could have just been too slow to open the door and take the dog out. 5. She misunderstood the pointof a microwave. 6. She didn’t read the directions for her new microwave. …who reads directions anyways?
6. The only reasons I do NOT like this legend: I think it’s terrible that the poor poodle dies. Animal deaths are simply the worst. What could the poodle possibly have done to deserve such a gruesome death? INNOCENCE^^^ It had to be an OLD lady to kill her dog. I think this is typical because our society considers a lot of older people incapable of operating anything invented in the 21st century. This Isn’t true. There are many old people out there who are capable of doing things you and I couldn’t ever do. <<< wow!
