Shot 1This is the very first time we see the title of the film. This immediately creates asense of mystery and an enigma is created because we’re clueless as to what theNumber 23 means in relation to the film.
Shot 2I chose this as the second shot because the writing of the title begins to slowlydisappear and seems to turn into blood. Straight away we’re given the idea that it’s afilm about violence or death.
Shot 3I thought this was good as a third shot because it literally flashed on and then off sowe were curious as to why it was so brief.
Shot 4I think this was a good shot to use because it states a fact about the plane crash withpeople dying and the blood overrules the fact.
Shot 5I think this is a very powerful shot for British people but also for anyone. The shotstill continues to show close ups of the blood and repeat the number 23 over andover.
Shot 6This is a particularly gory shot as it’s a fact about Hitler and blood is shooting overhim. There are still equations everywhere as well including the number 23.
Shot 7This is quite a spooky fact as it happens to be this year they believe that happens.Again, the camera flashes onto it then straight off it.
Shot 8This is a very gory shot as the blood has overruled all the writing and it seems that’sall it’s saying, death here there and everywhere. It seems to say there’s no clearnessanymore, almost like there’s no hope.
Shot 9This is almost the very last shot of the titles so it’s rounding everything up into onenumber and one shot. The number 23 is a darker, richer red than the actualbackground so it seems to say it stands out. It created enigma and builds curiositywithin the audiences head.
