  2. 2. Starter Activity <ul><li>Find the key photography terms in your crossword: </li></ul>Extension: Can you use these key terms in sentences describing ‘The Dos and Don’ts of Good Photography?’

Objective and Outcomes: <ul><li>LO: </li></ul><ul><li>I will complete my photoboard and present this to the rest of the class in the style of a pitch. </li></ul><ul><li>Outcomes: </li></ul><ul><li>PASS – I will finish my photoboard and be able to briefly talk about my ideas. </li></ul><ul><li>MERIT – I will finish my photoboard and talk about my ideas in some detail. </li></ul><ul><li>DISTINCTION/DISTINCTION+ - </li></ul><ul><li>I will complete my photoboard and present a detailed discussion of my ideas using the photoboard as a prompt. </li></ul>
  4. 4. Task One Complete your photoboard. Remember that this will count towards your level in your Preproduction work. Make sure you have all the criteria below: <ul><li>Drawing of six shots </li></ul><ul><li>External and Internal information </li></ul><ul><li>Information about your concept </li></ul><ul><li>The photographer who you are influenced by </li></ul><ul><li>What will be in the background and foreground of the shots </li></ul><ul><li>What the difficulties may be and how you will overcome these </li></ul><ul><li>Brief information about each of your shots </li></ul>Extension: What else can you include to get a DISTINCTION?

Give your partner a mark for each of the following points on the checklist. Use 2 and a wish to say what they have done well, and what could be done to improve their photoboard.

Task Three <ul><li>Presenting your ideas to the rest of the class. </li></ul>You will be a photographer who wants their work accepted by ArtPic – a design house who use photography in magazines and art books. You need to sell your ideas to the company using your photoboard. The rest of you are company executives of ArtPic. You are looking for new and innovative photographers to join your company. You need to see ideas that are original and refreshing to use in advertising campaigns and articles. EXTENSION: Can you explain some other uses of photography for this company?

These MUST be based on your Preproduction work and planning. </li></ul>The Big Question: What are the main uses of photography? You must find evidence of research when you bring your answer in!
