Santiago Blasco Colombia I visited Colombia in July 2009.
Bogotá: Mount Monserrate We took the Teleferico up the hill. The Teleferico is a small train that climbs the mountain. Over the mountain we visit the church and the fair. At the top we see the full view of the city of Bogota.
Bogotá: The Gold Museum I visited The Gold Museum. It is about 4 floors with lots of objects made by gold.
Hamster race A guy on the street holding a mega phone has about 5 well trained hamsters sitting by his heel. There are about 20 food dishes turned upside-down with holes in the side and numbers painted on top. People bet which ‘house’ the hamster is going to go into by putting coins on top of whatever house they chose. If a hamster goes into a house with coins on it that person gets all the money. If the hamster goes into a house without coins the owner gets the coins
Villa de Leyva- Plaza Mayor Villa de Leyva is one of the oldest colonial sites of Colombia.
El Fosil- Villa de Leyva The place is famous for its fossils of prehistoric animals. One finds there a prehistoric kronosaurus. A kronosaurus is a sort of reptile shark of the Jurassic.
