The opening quiz gets us thinking about governance and gets you working in teams The learning-simulation is a resource management game. It is based over 3 rounds where you will work in 6 teams to improve the virtual community. During the rounds incidents are likely to happen. At the end of each round you get to see the score and at the end of the simulation you will see if the incumbent party can stay in power.
Joining Slideshare 1. Go to url www.slideshare.net. 2. Click the Sign Up link from the right of the page. 3. Choose a username and password and click join now. 4. You will need to fill out your gender and country and type in a security password, then select sign up. You will get an email asking you to confirm your email address.
Uploading Your Files 1. Once you have sign up you will be taken to the home page for your account. Select upload from the navigation bar at the top of this page 2. Select the Browse and select files button. This will open the windows dialogue box. Select the files you want to upload from you computer. 3. The Follwing formats are supported: Presentations : PowerPoint - ppt, pps, pot; OpenOffice - odp, pdf; Apple Keynote - upload as .zip or pdf. Documents & Spreadsheets : Microsoft Office - doc, rtf, xls; OpenOffice - odt, ods, pdf.
Uploading Your Files 4. Once you have uploaded your files enter the details and select publish. ( * Is a required field) 5. Select the Browse and select files button. This will open the windows dialogue box. Select the files you want to upload from you computer.
Uploading Your Files 6. Your file will take a few minuits to upload depending on it’s size. 7. To see the status of your slide the select " My Slidespace " from the navigation bar at the top of the page. 8. You will see the following until your slide has been created.
Sharing your Slide 1. When your slide is ready you will see it displayed in My Slideshows. 2. To share your slide with others by email select the slide and then click the share button displayed above your slide. 3. This will bring up a pop-up (note:Anti-virus software could have a pop-up blocker switched on). In the pop up enter the email addresses of people you want to send your slide to, you can also enter a message, then select send mail.
Sharing your Slide 4. If you want to embed your slide into a web page or blog select Widgets from the navigation bar at the top of the page. 5. You can customize your presentation filling out the details on the left. When complete copy the code on the right to your clipboard. This code can then be embeded into a webpage or blog.
