Project title/area: Automated semantic tagging of speech and audio data (P1)

Description:
This project has two parts. The first part deals with building a user interface to manually tag the speech and audio
data, and coming with a set of semantic tags to tag the speech and audio data in the context of personal oral
narratives and/or oral knowledge. The second part deals with using a machine learning algorithm to train a machine
learning model to automatically tag the unknown data into one of the semantic categories.
Prerequisites/skills: Good programming skills in Phyton and C. NLP/Signal processing would be an added
advantage.

Project title/area: A dialog based framework for eliciting oral data (P2)

Description:
This project deals with building a dialog based method to elicit the oral/spontaneous data from the speaker in the
context of personal oral narratives. The dialog system would be developed on a mobile phone, and hence mobile
programming is must.

The objective is to partition/cluster the speech data into the segments corresponding to an individual speaker in the
speech data. The problem may or may not assume the notion of determining the number of speakers in the speech
data and then arriving at a method of segregating each of the speaker's data into a cluster.
