Evaluation

  1. 1. Evaluation Matthew Collins
  2. 2. In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products? My product is conventional as it has the title of the magazine at the top, but in one way it could be unconventional as the picture of the model isn’t in the middle it is on the side of the page. In a way you could say it challenges conventions as the writing on the page isn’t all together it is in different places on the page.
  3. 3. How does your media product represent particular social groups? It represents a social group of casual and people into indie music this is because it has that genre of music and photo’s and also colours.
  4. 4. What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why? At first it would probably be either a pull out in a magazine or local paper or just a free magazine in shops.
  5. 5. Who would be the audience for your media product ? The audience would be mixed gender and ages between 13 – 19.
  6. 6. How did you attract/address your audience? By using a certain lay out and also the artists that are in the magazine will attract a certain audience.
  7. 7. What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing the product? I have learnt a bit about using fireworks although I did already know how to use it, and I’ve also learnt a lot about camera angles and shots.
  8. 8. Looking back to your preliminary task, what do you feel that you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product? I have learnt that the magazine needs to be set out more spacious other than like a leaflet not using loads of text boxes.
