What is Incentives ?? 
Something that incites or has a tendency to incite 
to determination or action
Requirements of Incentive Plans 
• The first concerns the procedures and 
methods used to appraise employee 
performance. 
• Second requirement is that the 
incentives (rewards) must be based on 
performance.
Types of Incentives 
are said to exist where an agent can expect 
some form of material reward
