March 29, 2012BSIE-3A submitted to Mr. Norberto De JesusCompany profileA Go Nuts Donuts branch at SM City Clark in Angeles City (closed on December 1,2009).The Trillana-De Ocampo clans engaged in a donut business and attempted to have afranchise of the American-based Krispy Kreme. They, however, were denied. Thus, they decided put up their own. After 18 months of planning, Go Nuts Donuts wascreated. On their first day of business, a total 700 donuts were sold. As of 2009, the chain sellsan average of 20,000 per day. At one time, it sold as many as 27,000. Wanting topromote their donuts outside the country, they started deliveringthrough DHL or Fedex.Although sales were up and people around permitting them to increase their prices, theyremained retailing at their usual prices. Michael Trillana stated“ We want to be as affordable as we could be. Even if people were telling us we could charge higher, we said no, well keep the pricing. We really want to offer a strong value proposition to consumers, and I think weve been rewarded by that because people are buying by the boxes ”Trillana considers the business a gift from his son who died just a couple of days beforetheir first store opened. The doughnuts of Go Nuts Donuts have been made almost in a similar style as thosefrom Krispy Kreme. Theyre referred to as less sweet, but larger and last a longerperiod. The chain has established a franchise store in Kuwait, giving the latter a run forits money. It also has plans to open more in Malaysia, China, and Australia. Conclusion: Go Nuts Donuts was founded by Trillana-De Ocampo. Their special because ofthere less sugar donuts and same process of cooking with the famous Krispy kreme butthe most of all there offers was their low market price of their donuts that can’t offer bythe other donut manufacturing.
