According to a UNESCO report, Asia now represents 41.4% of the world's researchers, surpassing Europe which represents 28.4%, fueled largely by growth in China. The report shows Asia winning the race to attract the most research and development professionals. While the US and Germany still have the highest number of researchers per capita, Asia's overall share has been rising as it focuses on building its future in research and innovation.
