Thank you for your letter. I was very glad to hear
from you. This year we will celebrate the 70th
anniversary of Victory Day. This day is one of the
greatest holidays in our country.
I’d like to tell you about my grandfather, who was a
military shooter and a radio operator during the Great
Patriotic War. His name was Noykov Fedor Fedorovich.
He was 18 years old, he was young and kind, when the
Great Patriotic War started.
In 1941 he went to the front. He took part in many
battles against fascist Germany from the very
beginning to its end. My great-grandfather was
wounded and he was in hospital. On the 15th of May in
1945 he got one of his rewards, the Order of Red
Banner. He got a lot of medals but he was especially
proud of the Medal of Honor. We have his medal at
home. Also I have many photos of my grandfather and I
can show them to you.
I’m thankful to all the people who fought for peace
and, of course, to my grandfather!
Come to us on this holiday.
I can’t wait to hear from you,
