  2. 2. Solar energy<br />People operate solar energy by using solar batteries, solar cells and giant mirrors. <br />Thus, solar energy heats water and produces electricity. <br />

  4. 4. Solar cells -PHOTOVOLTAIC<br />Solar cells are made of a semiconductor, silicon when enriched with other elements, allow the flow of electrons. It consists of two layers of silicon enriched with a positive and a negative ion. <br />When sunlight falls on the surface, electrons are released, collected by a network of pipelines that exist on both surfaces when you connect the item with an electrical circuit, electrons move from negative to positive surface generating electricity.<br />

SOLAR THERMAL ENERGY<br />Solar thermal energy differs from photovoltaic energy.  In the thermal process, sunlight is concentrated into a small area and captured as heat.  This heat is used to heat and excite a liquid or gas which then powers a generator.  The generator then makes more energy from the power supply of the solar heat.  Often, the solar heat is captured by a parabolic dish that collects and concentrates the sun into a small area.<br />
