  1. 1. TANGRAM WORLD eTwinning project made by Italy and Polish pupils.
  2. 2. Tangram – what is it? The tangram is a puzzle consisting of seven flat shapes, called tans, which are put together to form shapes. Two large triangles One middle triangle Two small triangles One small square One paralellogram
  3. 3. Brief history of tangrams The invention of the tangram puzzle is unrecorded in history. The earliest known Chinese book is dated 1813 but the puzzle was very old by then. One reason for this could be that in China, its country of origin, at the time it was considered a game for women and children. The Rules The classic rules are as follows: You must use all seven tans,  they must lay flat, they must touch, none may overlap.
  4. 4. The work process During the process of creating a tangram story titled „Federica’s epizode” both groups Polish and Italian started to work on the story by using simple materials like paper, glue or scissors.
  5. 5. It helped the students to visualise the jigsaw puzzle pieces in order to collect them into meaningful shapes.
  6. 6. The final step was to transfer a story into power point presentation. This time the students used PCs and a power point programme.
  7. 7. Federica is a dancer. She likes dancing very much.
  8. 8. She' s got a friend: a white cat called Ube.
  9. 9. One day Federica went to the forest for a walk with her cat.
  10. 10. While she was walking she found a small bird with a broken wing.
  11. 11. She decided to take it home. A bird sattled on he roof of her house.
  12. 12. Animals were missed Federica. when she was at school.
  13. 13. They went to the town to find her.
  14. 14. While they were looking for the girl, they saw a pet shop…
