The database activity in Moodle is one of the most versatile standardmodules, it comes with a great preset called Image Gallery.Indeed, presets are useful To avoid the necessity of always having to createa new database from scratch (moodledocs)Presets are ready-made database templates. This tutorial is about howto create your own presets as well and share them in your Moodlesite to be used in any course. Lets start creating a preset from a database youve already created
  3. 3. Step #1 Open your database and watch the tabs
  4. 4. Step #2 Preset tab has four sections: Export as zip••••Save as preset Import from zip file•• Use a preset•• In Save as preset section You must write a short name for your preset and click Continue button
  5. 5. Youll see in your screen a message: Saved successfully. Your preset willNow be available across the site then you should click Continue
  6. 6. Step #3 Now you can see again Preset tab screen Your preset must be listed In Use a preset section
  7. 7. Step #4 So far you have created a preset and share it in your Moodle site. But probably you need/like to save it in your hard disk too. To do that use Export section under Preset tab. Export section allows us to export database template as a Zip file. Any preset saved can then be imported to another course or Moodle site It is very important to notice the difference Between Export tab and Export as zip section Under Preset tab
