Symbols and signs used in a
baptismal ceremony include
water, white garment, oil of
chrism, sign of the cross and a
Baptism Ritual Structure
1. While standing at the back of
the church the parents and child
are welcomed by the priest
who then invites
them to come forward to
the baptismal font.
2. The celebration of the Word by
the reading of a scripture then takes
~Jesus replied, "Truly I say to you:
No one can enter the kingdom of
God without being born of water
and of the spirit- (John 3:5)
