A timing chip which is synched with each running number bib, will be given to every World 10K and Open 10K runner at the Expo. </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Is to be tied to the shoelace of a runner </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Provides accurate net and split times for each runner </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Timing Certificates will be posted to all runners whose timing has been recorded at all timing mats </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>This Timing Certificate can be used to validate an individual’s running credentials at any AIMS ratified Distance Running event globally </li></ul></ul><ul><li>2 races compulsorily timed </li></ul>?

A Runner can now have her or his Race Day magic moments captured… en route and the Finishing Moments to share excitement! UK based company, Marathon-Photos.Com, the Event’s Official Photographers, will capture you on Race Day.

The registered NGOs will be listed on the websites for viewing by those running for a cause. </li></ul><ul><li>NGO Registration </li></ul><ul><li>To register with Bangalore Cares, an NGO has to submit the following: </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Registration certificate (Trust/ Society/ etc.) </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>80G/ 35AC exemption certificate and FCRA (if applicable) </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Registration fee of Rs.4000/- (vide cheque in favour of ‘Bangalore Cares Trust’) </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Duly filled registration form </li></ul></ul>WORLD 10K BANGALORE

Charity Structure iCare Corporate Cares Care Champions Individuals committing to raise a minimum of Rs 1 lakh for a chosen cause Select corporates fielding teams of up to 30 and contributing Rs 1.75 lakh for a chosen cause A runner undertaking to raise any amount in pledges for a cause of her or his choice

Care Champions <ul><li>Individuals raising a minimum of Rs 1 lakh for a chosen NGO. </li></ul><ul><li>Care Champions to register via Bangalore Cares, the official ‘Charity Partner’. </li></ul><ul><li>Upfront non-refundable contribution of Rs 10,000 in favour of ‘Bangalore Cares Trust’. </li></ul><ul><li>An amount of Rs 7,500 will be retained by Bangalore Cares as admin costs. </li></ul><ul><li>A fund-raising kit will be given to confirmed Care Champions. Bangalore Cares will set -up a personal ‘appeal page’ on This appeal page can then be circulated to Care Champion’s social circle, facilitating contributions online to the chosen cause. </li></ul><ul><li>Encourage your Care Champion to contact as many people as they can involve, for their generous contributions. </li></ul><ul><li>Funds can also be collected offline through cheques & demand drafts. </li></ul><ul><li>All collections and completed fundraising forms, all adding up to a minimum of Rs1 lakh, must reach Bangalore Cares by 30 April 2011. This is in order to enjoy the benefits of a Care Champion on race day. </li></ul>

Corporate Cares <ul><li>Companies fielding teams up to 30 members each team, all running for an NGO of company’s choice </li></ul><ul><li>Corporate Cares teams to register via Bangalore Cares, official ‘Charity Partner’ </li></ul><ul><li>Corporate contribution per team is Rs 1.75 lakh per team to be paid up-front in favour of ‘Bangalore Cares Trust’ </li></ul><ul><li>In addition to the above contribution, corporates need to pay applicable entry fees in favour of ‘Procam International Ltd SW10K’ </li></ul><ul><li>Each team member is also encouraged to raise pledges for the chosen cause/ NGO </li></ul><ul><li>An amount of Rs 25,000 will be retained by Bangalore Cares as management costs </li></ul><ul><li>Fund-raising kits will be given to all confirmed team members of a Corporate Cares team </li></ul><ul><li>Pledges of individual team members to be made in favour of individual beneficiary NGO and sent to Bangalore cares for onward remittance. </li></ul>

Corporate Cares facilities and incentives <ul><ul><li>Regular updates + pre race day communication </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Special pledge page on Bangalore Cares website for corporates. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Workshops on pledge raising by Bangalore Cares conducted on requests of concerned company and NGO </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Meeting with team leaders/ HR representatives, post registration (event up-date, pledge raising tips, standardised presentations that they can use to motivate their team members, etc.) </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>The first 2 Corporate teams, those runners who raise Rs 50,000/- for a cause, from across all Corporate Cares, to Bangalore Cares by 30 April 2011, will get a special event T-shirt for each runner in the team. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Separate holding area at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium on Race Day. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>A priority line up and start for the Corporate Cares teams who have opted to participate in the Majja Run. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Line-up as per roll of honour, determined by the quantum of charity raised in the previous year, for the first 3 companies. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Processing, reconciliation and acknowledging all pledge cheques received, issuing receipts, ‘thank-you’ letters and 80G certificates as may be applicable. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Branding in the corporate holding area, and announcements during the event day. </li></ul></ul>
  20. 20. iCare <ul><li>iCare comprises individual runners who can raise pledges of any amount and run in support of a cause/ NGO. </li></ul><ul><li>Charity amounts can be raised with the help of pledge/ fundraising kits… </li></ul><ul><li>Both physical kits , and as downloadable from Bangalore Cares website , will be available at a cost of Rs 200 each, the amount thus collected going to the registered NGOs in proportion to the funds they raise. </li></ul><ul><li>First 10 iCare runners raising Rs 25,000 by 30 April 2011 , get the event T-shirt. </li></ul><ul><li>Recognition will be given on the Bangalore Cares and event website throughout the year to top 10 iCare runners . </li></ul><ul><li>Pledge kits are designed in a new way, to motivate and help the runner to raise funds and decide on the cause to support. </li></ul><ul><li>Pledge kit will be available at Bangalore Cares and at Kanteerva Stadium (+91 80 2654 2135, from 1 st February,Monday to Saturday, 10 am to 6 pm.) </li></ul><ul><li>Top three iCare runners will be recognised at the post event press meet. </li></ul>
