  1. 1. A 36 HOURS DAYAre the women happy with their work-life balance? What is their idea ofperfect happiness these days? Apparently, it might be working less. In fact, more free time would improve the quality of their lives. They usually workmore than 40 hours a week and they have to face such huge tasks day afterday. But, is it worth it?Let’s analyse the tasks: looking after the children, cooking, picking up clothesand tossing them into the hamper, doing the washing, doing the ironing, thinking about the shopping, taking up a sport (doing exercise help us to stayyoung and attractive and even live longer), recycling household waste toprevent climate change, watching the news to be informed, having a sociallife, doing yoga to be relaxed...In addition, they spend the rest of their time being constantly worried aboutpossible dangers that might be threatening their children, such as diseasesand accidents. Therefore, they usually don’t have much time for anythingelse. Sure?Women nowadays need to reach the perfection. Should they pay moreattention to fashion? Most of them dislike their appearance, and theirhusbands don’t even notice when they have been to the hairdresser’s…So next time you think you are not perfect, don’t panic, the perfect mandoesn’t exist either.Francisco Chacón 4º inglés
