CLTA Vision <ul><ul><li>“ CLTA affiliates create professional learning communities of language educators across age and experience lines that provide for greater visibility of language learning in schools and districts, allow for different pathways that lead to professional excellence, mentor new members of the profession while promoting leadership opportunities and engage parents, administrators and colleagues to advocate for a world class education for all students.” </li></ul></ul>
  3. 3. Recruitment Officer <ul><li>Creates and maintains a database of teachers in the county of the affiliate. Uses this data-base for recruitment purposes </li></ul><ul><li>Follows a recruitment protocol that is established by the affiliate </li></ul><ul><li>Creates/acquires recruitment tools that assist with the recruitment process (reports, videos, Power Points, etc.) </li></ul><ul><li>Visits school sites and shares benefits of membership </li></ul><ul><li>Attends department meetings and share affiliates programs and events </li></ul><ul><li>Identifies local BTSA coordinator and shares affiliates programs that are appropriate for beginning teachers. </li></ul><ul><li>Visits local Teacher credentialing programs and invites teacher candidates to attend affiliate’s programs and events. </li></ul><ul><li>Knows about current issues concerning WL at local, state, and federal level </li></ul><ul><li>Displays excellent interpersonal and communication skills that are essential to recruit and engage others in our profession. </li></ul>
