Headland <ul><li>A narrow area of land jutting out into a sea, lake, etc.  </li></ul>
Lagoon <ul><li>Where a spit has joined two pieces of land and sea water is trapped behind to from a lake.  </li></ul>
Gulf <ul><li>A large area of a sea or ocean partially enclosed by land. </li></ul>
Bay <ul><li>A body of water partially enclosed by land but with a wide mouth, affording access to the sea. </li></ul>
Coast <ul><li>A zone where the land meets the sea. </li></ul>
Cliff <ul><li>A high and steep rock face sometimes under attack by the sea. </li></ul>
Beach <ul><li>The area covered by sand or pebbles deposited by the sea.  </li></ul>
Breakwater <ul><li>A barrier that protects a harbour or shore from the full impact of waves.  </li></ul>
Cave <ul><li>Formed where waves and the material that they carry hit a weak part of the cliff. </li></ul>
