How I Went From Mediocre Marketer to Top 10 Producer Because
of Instagram
It’s a funny thing, how we all seem to be on the edge of our seat waiting for that next big tech offering (phone, social
media platform, operating system, etc). Instagram was no different for most people I know.
However, it took years for me to finally cave and begin using IG.
Why? I guess because I felt like I had enough social media accounts, and adding one more would just be entirely
redundant!
Well guess what? Instagram is now responsible for bringing me more traffic and leads than all my other SM
accounts combined – COMBINED!

Amazingly, within a month, I was able to increase from 7 leads a day in November to 25-30 a
day in December – just a month later!!!

And now, in February, because of my implementation of Instagram marketing in my business,
I am consistently hitting my company’s leaderboard as a Top 10 producer!!!

So what are the secrets to marketing on Instagram?
1. It all comes down to one of the most basic marketing concepts – TARGET MARKETING!
Knowing your niche and the ideal buyer within your niche is absolutely necessary in order to attract people that are
likely interested in what you have to offer. If you’re trying to sell steak, but your marketing in front of a bunch of
vegetarians, how much success do you suppose you’ll enjoy?
So think about who your ideal candidates are, research where to find them and how to get your brand (notice I didn’t
say your offer or product) in front of them.
One of the best research tools to faciliate identifying your target audience is a website called iconosquare.com .
You can use this site to research hashtags, see which hashtags are more popular, see who your competition is, etc.

2. Another secret to successful Instagram marketing is leveraging systems to do all the mundane tasks involved
with engaging your prospects (i.e. following, unfollowing, liking, commenting, reposting, etc). There are several
programs you can choose from to engage with your Instagram audience and followers.
A key to building a successful Instagram campaign is to have multiple IG accounts, each catering to a specific niche,
or a specific company within that niche.
For instance, as an online marketing coach, I have several IG accounts that speak to and attract people from certain
concepts (think about terms and hashtags like “freedomlife,” successful,” lawofattraction,” etc). I also have several
IG accounts that target other MLM companies, and then my content on those accounts lead to how I can help those
in various MLM’s to learn how to leverage the internet to increase their business.
