A cheetah describes its habitat in grasslands and savannahs with dense vegetation and mountainous terrain. It eats gazelles, impalas, hares, and guineafowl, and occasionally young zebras and wildebeests. As a carnivore that eats mostly mammals under 88 pounds, it is specially adapted as the fastest land animal and has a tan and brown spotted coat.
