6. An introduction to the School ☼ In 1940 was inaugurated the School ☼ This is a free Private School. There are 250 children at the Centre. The children who attends the Primary school are from 4 to 12 years old. ☼ The School is set in a rural context (families works in farms nearby) Milky farms and Agricultural Mostly of the kid’s parents, who attends the School, have incomplete schooling and work very long hours ☼ Some children lives during the week with older brothers or sisters others with only the mother In many cases going to School is the only way of channels of culture as they do not have any books, newspapers, TV, electronic appliances, etc. ☼ In some cases the kids presents behavioural problems and learning difficulties, caused by poor nutrition, poor health and hygiene conditions and situation of violence and marginalization in the family ☼ Another important fact is that there is a low % of recurrence (repetition) thanks to the efforts of the teachers
