science and manners, arts and crafts, ways of
social life, style of culture and conduct of
politics, or a conglomeration of these things, are
the branches of 'civilization”

The Ingredients of Civilization
The Prophet’s Sunnah is the second source, right after
the Quran, of Islamic Shariah (Law)
The Quran establishes the bases and principles of
legislation, whereas the Sunnah provides theoretical
interpretation as well as example and practical
The Prophet (SAW) guidance as exemplified in the
Sunnah guides Muslims to three basic inseparable
aspects of civilization named as:
civilized Fiqh (Jurisprudence),
civilized conduct, and
“Sunnah “ A Source of Civilization
it is the civilization of balance and moderation
which is the basis on which a just and
distinguished Nation. Almighty Allah described
it saying what means
“And so We have appointed you as a just and
distinguished Nation.” (Al-Baqarah 2:143)

several features, such as extensiveness, encompassment,
multiplicity, variety, ideality and reality.
It is also a divine civilization as it has been based on the
stable, consistent, universal Islamic values
And thus We have made you a middle nation.
