  4. 4. INTRODUCTION The British rule established peace and order in the country to a great extend. It had unprecedented impact on the people.
  5. 5. UNIFORM SYSTEM OF ADMINISTRATION ● ● ● ● British Introduced uniform system of administration in the country. This system establish a uniform legal system. The Princely states had a variety of separate laws. Unified civil Servies and efficient police created internal stability.
  6. 6. ECONOMIC IMPACT ● ● ● ● Industrial revolution in England affected the Indian industries. Indian product is great demand in European markets. Indian industries were ruined. Domestic Industries caused unemployment and starvation to millions

  8. 8. ZAMINDARI SYSTEM ● ● ● ● ● Revenue collectors were recognized as permanent owners. Zamindari system introduced GovernorGeneral Cornwallis. Pay an amount fixed by the Government as revenue. They ruthlessly collected the tax even during famines. This system came into Bengal, Bihar and Uttar pradesh.
  9. 9. RYOTWARI SYSTEM ● ● ● ● ● Munro was introduced Ryotwari system. Land was measured and taking into account its fertility and irrigation facilities. Revenue was collected with help of local Hereditary officers. There was Periodical assessment of the land revenue. This system introduced mostly in southern and western india.
  10. 10. MAHALWARI SYSTEM      Mahal literally stands for a Taluk. The assessment rates were some what high. Mahaldar was also engaged in cultivation; Zamindari system were also present in this system. This system was introduced north-western and central india.
