DMS Entertainment: “Behind
Closed Doors” Production
Cast Notes
Michael Douglas: Mr.Wicks/Father
Michael is a BA Preforming Arts Graduate who is
passionate about entertainment and performing arts. As
a singer, dancer and actor he is a person whom is very
disciplinary within his chosen arts and is constantly
building and polishing his already attained skills.
We chose Michael as we think with his experience and
ability to execute varies roles that he’d be able to
portray “The Father” to a high standard. This role is very
challenging as it goes against many people’s morality
code and wouldn’t be looked upon greatly by those who
view the production, however we believe that Michael
would be able to present the “Father” in a light that isn’t
as frowned upon by the audience but in a way that
would highlight his mental instability and his over
bearing Id (Freud Personality Complex) so that they are
able to understand as to why he ends up going through
with his actions.
We also chose Michael as we hope that taking on this
role it would also benefit him as an actor playing a dark
character. Furthermore he was the best candidate for
our character’s age profile as he would be able to look
old enough to be a father of a teenage girl.
Faith Pinamang: Lucy/ Daughter
Faith is a 12year old High School student whom is very
passionate about drama. She enjoys acting in her
spare time and is a higher achiever in drama.
We decided to choose Faith as we believed that she
would be able to rise to portraying the demanding
character of “Lucy” the daughter as the role is quite
challenging in the sense of what she is to face within
the film.
Faith as a candidate was the closest depiction to the
“Lucy’s” profile which was a young Black- British
female as we had already cast Michael for the role.
Furthermore we hoped that this experience would
cause Faith to be challenged and cause her to improve
upon her acting skills for future opportunities.
