Why have a Strategic Plan? To develop a common understanding within the organization To present the big picture rather than short term or partial pictures To seize the initiative rather than simply react To define goals and objectives To set priorities, including for resource allocation To enable activity planning consistent with broad goals and priorities To provide a basis for organisational evaluation To explain the organisation to outsiders

Why is it important for IGG to have aStrategic Plan? It enables us to focus on our key priorities It enables us to set and communicate clear objectives It aids decision making It helps to remove uncertainty It enables us to maintain control of progress It promotes effective, efficient and economic operations It enables us to make adjustments when necessary It promotes full participation by all
