Artist Alexa Meade Creates Optical Illusions by Painting on Humans
Artist Alexa Meade Creates Optical Illusions by Painting on Humans
1.
Alexa Meade is an American artist whose works, made from acrylic, lie
at an intersection between photography, installation, performance and
painting. Instead of using acrylic to portray people portraits on
canvases, Meade paints directly on their subjects, giving the impression
that these are a painting within the work itself.
Miss Meade, 24, grew up in Washington D.C. and had previously
worked on Capitol Hill as an intern, before working on Barack Obama’s
Presidential campaign.
