John & Mary Ralph's son got a contract in Guam, so we looked up where it was.... and booked a trip to that most amazing Island in the Pacific. Just 13degrees north of the Equator...... hot as!. Thankyou Roisin, Ashling & Jeremy for the trip of a lifetime.

Guam 2009

  2. 2. 1st stop…. Cairns, Australia<br />Botanic gardens.<br />
  3. 3. Can you see the ‘balls’ in the tree?<br />We though Matt would like this.<br />
  4. 4. We hung out at this big sea water pool by the ocean. <br />
  5. 5. The Pelicans were hot too.<br />
  6. 6. Next stop Guam…. Very, very hot.<br />You swim everyday. Especially with this in front of Jeremy & Roisin’s house.<br />
  7. 7. Roisin & Ashling pop down to the pier for a change of venue.<br />A tropical sunset, taken from their porch (true!).<br />
  8. 8. The surf looked pretty good…..<br />
  9. 9. So we went out in the boat for a closer look.<br />Can you spot Roisin & Mary?<br />
  10. 10. A day on the beach. This is the touristy part of Guam….<br />
  11. 11. Where they have wedding chapels alongside high-rise resorts.(The Japanese go there to get married).<br />
  12. 12. Jeremy took us in his boat to Coco Island. That’s Guam in the background.<br />

  17. 17. Lots of museums and places commemorating WW2 where Japan invaded Guam for 31months, then were defeated by an American attack.<br />
