  4. 4. <ul><li>Taj Mahal is one of the modern wonders of the world for its architectural forms and building techniques. </li></ul>
  5. 5. <ul><li>These are horizontal and vertical plan views . </li></ul>
  6. 6. Outstanding Universal Value <ul><li>This brilliant architecture is located in India and it was built as a mausoleum for Shah Jahan So, it shows his power from beyond the tomb. </li></ul><ul><li>It is a heritage of masonry craftsmanship. </li></ul>
  7. 7. <ul><li>It is built from white marble and it has a decorative stone work known as pietra dura. </li></ul><ul><li>The main part of the building has a square </li></ul><ul><li>shape and a round arch in its façade. </li></ul><ul><li> Above this is the dome . </li></ul><ul><li>. </li></ul>
  8. 8. <ul><li>Four stones stand at each corner which are called obelisks. </li></ul><ul><li>Giving a historical and ecological perspective is the landscape and the pool of water. </li></ul><ul><li>This impressive beautiful building reminds me of the splendour of India </li></ul>
  9. 9. Twenty thousand people worked in this construction for 22 years. This architecture combines the Indu tradition with Persian-Muslim. The materials were brought from 300 Km away by elephants. The precious stones were brought from Baghdad, China, Afghanistan, Tibet, Egypt, Persia, Yemen, Russia y Ceylon to decorate the inside and outside the tomb.
  10. 10. <ul><li>However, the economic cost was so big that it made the emperor lose the throne. </li></ul><ul><li>The fact is, it is considered the most important and awesome building in India. </li></ul>
