Future technology research

  1. 1. Future Technology ResearchIphone 5 Concept Incorporates a Hologram ProjectorHere’s a new iPhone 5 concept, this time not too detailed and relying very much on the video atthe end of the article. Created by Waterworks/ Christopher East, this iPhone design relies onfuturistic hologram projections.Such mechanisms will be used to turn the iPhone 5 into the perfect presentation tool, especially forarchitects, car, boat designers and more. Combine that holographic ability with the power of OfficePowerPoint and you’ve got productivity nirvana… or do you?Technology by HitachiHere you are the last bit of our tour at Hitachi exhibition, with the company vision of a “MinorityReport” like interface. Perhaps closer to Microsoft Kinect UI, Hitachi system will let you control anykind of information display on a TV or by a Video projector, by simply waving your hands in anydirections.Nothing much to say here since this was just a working prototype, but, Hitachi is working not onlyon including this technology in digital signage, but also in the medical area, where doctors canaccess data, photo or like on the video below to IRM without touching anything, ideal duringsurgery for example, as well as planning to add such technology in both Desktop PCs as well asTV.
  2. 2. Now, Hitachi is working in adding this technology in their TVs since the past two years, and thelaunch of Kinect by Microsoft was some kind of wake-up call for Hitachi. If unfortunately Hitachiwas not capable to give any possible date and time on the availability of a TV running thistechnology, an Engineer however told us that if Hitachi decided to put on the market a TV usingthis tech, we would have to wait until middle of 2011.Cultivator Food for the Future MankindGrowing vegetables in the backyard or in front of the house is always a common and enthusiastichobby among a range of people. Many people find this hobby an appreciable one, and othersconsider this as a total waste of time and energy. But now, it’s time to rethink. The most crucial problem the future civilization is going to face is the scarcity of food. Meat andfish would probably be forgotten lot before due to the global environmental disaster and fruits andvegetables are the only food alternative mankind can rely which would also become hard to be
  3. 3. produced due to the shortage of cultivating land and the unstable weather condition. Origin, anindoor farm concept, has been designed to tackle such condition by being able to producevegetables and fruits and lessen the massive storage requirement for those. This compact andstylish capsule resembles a lot with our existing storage water purifier which can take seeds andsubstrates of the user’s preference as inputs and cultivate the particular item they want.
  4. 4. Snail Cleaner future gadgetCleaning the bathroom is most irksome and time consuming job that I actually try to evade ifpossible but many times I don’t succeed and finally, I am seen cleaning the bathroom. Snail byKorean designer, Dong Hun Seo is a cleaner that lets you clean up your bathroom in hassle-freemanner. The ’snail cleaner’ crawls all around your bathroom tiles to do the cleaning. It’s easy forthe user to attach the snail on the tiles of your bathroom. The best part is you don’t need to getthe batteries or charge it. Snail cleaner is gathers juice directly from the sun to clean thebathroom tiles in efficient way.
  5. 5. Device Stick TalkThis device helps you communicate with people who have hearing difficulties and who are visuallyhandicapped, even if you don’t know how to read Braille and sign language. If a person whom youtalk to is deaf, speak to the device then it will show what you said on the display. If a user of thisdevice is deaf, the user easily can express his/her thoughts, even if the other doesn’t know signlanguage, by writing sentences on the palm using the stick, then it will sense what you are writingand either display the text or speak. This function allows conversation to be possible even betweenthe deaf and the blind.Portable Power Generator future‘Cyclus’ is one of the solutions for the power generating without further environmental impactwithin everyday circumstance. In nowadays, it is really hard to survive without any electricaldevices where especially urbanised society. Obviously power supplying issue is one of thefundamental problems to sustain current life cycle, and it can’t be split to consider for further
  6. 6. sophisticated user experience. In reality there are some kind of archetype which already exists inthe current market, for instance solar panel. However these early type of solution also requirescertain user effort (eg, finding a location where appropriate to generate power.). Additionally inthe meantime the device generates power, user can’t move the place.MP3 Player Innovative ConceptMuch like his Fluid Smartphone, Brazilian designer Dinard da Mata has developed anotherwearable gadget that becomes a fashion accessory to complement the style of next-gen users.Hailed as “MP3 Player Creative,” the portable music player features a flexible OLED screen thatother than displaying the playlist also lets the user select the song or control volume with just atouch of a finger. Worn around the wrist like a bracelet, the MP3 concept gives easy access of thefunctions to the user. In addition, the sleek music player includes wireless headphones to offerclutter-free music on the go.
  7. 7. Concept 2 for 2 for the year 2050 !In the years to come, technology will take us to a level that become difficult to predict or thinkabout at present. Nevertheless, there are designers who every now and then come up with avehicle that seems fit enough in the future scenario. Here is a vision from Brazilian designer,Thiago Vieira, who has envisioned a vehicle for 2050.He has named his vehicle 2 for 2 (also 2f2) which is a design study of a futuristic vehicle intendedfor 40 years from now. This vehicle is powered by 90hp electric motor and features aluminium
  8. 8. body structure for urban use. The concept uses less energy to help prolong your ride and isequipped with various equipments that improve driver’s interaction with the other vehicles.
