TRACKING SUN EFFICIENCY IMPROVED:Sun tracking solar cell modified

  1. 1. SOLAR PROJECTS-Sun tracking solar cellNormally solar cells are placed in a ground in one directiononly. But sun moves in a elliptical path. So only few hours thesunlight falls into the cell. During the rest of the hours thepercentage of Sunlight, which falls into the cell, is very less.Which results in less amount of energy generation.To overcome this problem we can construct a model where wecan place the solar cell in it and which can move in ellipticalpath .To track the sunlight. This is achieved with the help oflight intensity sensors. The sensors are fixed into the model inan elliptical path. So depending on the sunlight the sensorsoutput differs. So according position the solar panel, whichresults in good efficiency. (i.e.).the solar cell can produce energyby tracking the sunlight with the help of sensors andmechanical model. The Movement is controlled by a PICMicrocontroller. Also we have an LCD Display to Show theGenerated Cell Voltage and Current.
