  3. 3. Green World: Net Zero by 2050 European Green Deal Ø Economic Growth Strategy Ø 55% Cut in GHG Emission by 2030 Ø 50+ Policy Measure Ø Transition Fund of Euro 100B (2021-27) as part of Horizon Europe R&I Program Ø Circular Economy Ø Farm to Fork Ø Building Renovation Ø Biodiversity Ø Transportation Ø Socially Fair Regional Transition Plan Ø Emission Trading System Ø Boost EU Citizenship Moral US Green Deal Ø Democrats Passed USD 1.5 Trillion Green Infrastructure Plan in the House of Congress (June, 2020). Action will depend on the outcome of 2020 US Election Ø $500B in Transportation Funding in the “Moving Forward Act” Ø $25B for Drinking Water Ø $100B for Broadband Ø $100B for Low Income Schools Ø $70B for Clean Energy Ø $30B to Upgrade Hospital Ø $25B for the Postal Service Ø Green Business Policy Ø Public Transit “High Frequency Service” Ø Tax Breaks for Renewables/Clean Energy Ø Grant for Zero-Emission Buses Mahbubul Alam www.smartavatar.nl | Copyright © 2020 Green Business Technology
  4. 4. Short-Term Challenge • Paris Accord – Soft Commitment! • Standardized CO2 Measurement • Regional/National Trade Policy • Regional/National Regulation: Incentive & Penalty • Economic Competitiveness Alternative- vs. Fossil- Fuel • Scalability of Alternative Fossil Fuel • Transformation to Energy Efficient Machinery • Retraining of Human Behavior • Transition Out of Extreme Capitalism Mahbubul Alam www.smartavatar.nl | Copyright © 2020 Green Business Technology

  6. 6. Renewal Energy Solar & Wind Biomass & Bioliquid Clean Hydrogen Alternative Fuel Mahbubul Alam www.smartavatar.nl | Copyright © 2020 Green Business Technology
  7. 7. Clean Hydrogen Grey Hydrogen • Produced from natural gas • Carbon emission carry a cost for the global climate crisis. Price 1x Blue Hydrogen • Produced from natural gas. • Cost is mainly driven by the price of carbon capture, utilization and storage. Price 2x Green Hydrogen • Produced from water using renewal energy for electrolysis process. • Cost expected to reduce by 70% in the next 10 years Price 3x Cost of Production Mahbubul Alam www.smartavatar.nl | Copyright © 2020 Green Business Technology

  9. 9. Decarbonization of Environment CO2 Reduction CO2 Capture CO2 Recycle CO2 Emission • The natural carbon capture achieved through reforestation. • A range of technologies, some using membranes, others using solvents can perform the capture step of the process • Through a chemical reaction CO2 captured from industry can be combined with hydrogen to create synthetic gasoline, jet fuel and diesel. • CO2 negative-emission technologies such as solar & wind power to cut atmospheric concentrations, applicable for sectors such as steel refineries and cement factories. • Hybrid and electric passenger vehicle propulsion systems resulted in 49% CO2 reduction relative to the no-action emission baseline. 11. 11. Comprehensive Forest Fire Management Ecosystem & Bio- Diversity Policy & Regulations Socio- Economic Impact Biomass Management Urban, Rural & Land Planning Emergency Management Research & Innovation Monitoring, Detection & Planning Precision Forestry System Human Behavior Preparedness Detection Response Restoration Prevention Emerging technologies such as UAVs, LIDAR, Sensors, … Digital data capture, early fire detection (satellite & drones) and planning Science-based forest fire management & risk informed decision management. Improving first responder and rescue capacities in crisis management. Limiting the sprawling of urban, rural & land interface and mitigating the impact of wildfire Developing synergies between Federal and states to improve wildfire risk management. Implications of forest fire activity in terms of the socio-economic dynamics and performance. For energy and fire risk awareness integrated into governance & wildfire protection management. Incorporate the landscape dimension into post-fire restoration & more fire resilient landscapes. Increase the awareness to prevention & preparedness of population at risk Adaptation Mahbubul Alam www.smartavatar.nl | Copyright © 2020 Green Business Technology Read my blog: https://bit.ly/3cFlixY
