Mount Rainier is the highest mountain in Washington state and the most topographically prominent mountain in the continental United States. It is an active volcano located in the Cascade Range. Mt. Rainier is considered one of the most dangerous volcanoes in the world due to its activity and is included on the Decade Volcano list.
