Russian Pen Club

History <ul><li>Russian Pen Club was open at Kucera Middle School on 10/6/ 07. </li></ul><ul><li>Club started with 12 members. </li></ul><ul><li>Now club has 40 members. </li></ul><ul><li>Club has 15 Pen Pals from Russia. </li></ul><ul><li>Member meetings are held twice a week. </li></ul><ul><li>At the end of each year, we sponsor a special event. </li></ul>
  3. 3. Russian Pen Club Constitution <ul><li>Article 1 </li></ul><ul><li>The Russian Pen Club is a club of students who want to have friends from different countries. (2006, p. 1) </li></ul>
  4. 4. Traditions <ul><li>One of Russian traditions: Women wear traditional Russian clothes. They meet guests with bread and salt to show hospitality. (Auch A.,2002, p. 13) </li></ul>
  5. 5. Russian Art <ul><li>For Easter people in Russia decorate eggs by hand. These are eggs decorated by the club members. </li></ul>
  6. 6. Russian Easter <ul><li>On April 25, 2008 we celebrated Russian Easter at Kucera Middle school. The costumes students created by themselves. </li></ul>
  7. 7. Dance <ul><li>During the year students of the Russian Club learn some of the Russian dances. </li></ul><ul><li>Students present Russian women dance called “ Willow”. </li></ul><ul><li>Through the dance people have expressed their feelings. (E. Ryabko,1984, p. 38) </li></ul>
