  4. 4. SePublica 2014 A major theme since SePublica 2011: how to turn papers into knowledge bases? e.g. Sateli/Witte: Supporting Researchers with Semantic Literature Management (mine text from papers into a structured literature database) e.g. Di Iorio et al.: Describing bibliographic references in RDF (plain text reference lists to RDF, using the comprehensive BiRO and C4O ontologies) But there is also publishing of pure data e.g. Koho et al.: Ornithology Based on Linking Bird Observations with Weather Data (eScience by applying new analytics to a long-term data collection) SePublica is not alone this year; there is also the Semantic Publishing Challenge with a similar focus.
